(Art-Rock / Spoken–Sung Hybrid)
Intro (spoken, sparse ambience)
This is not memory.
It is a mirror.
A voice from another time
reflecting what we refuse
to name today.
Verse I
Not the faces matter,
nor the scandals,
nor the noise that followed them.
What remains
is the language
we used for power.
We mistook silence for weakness,
humility for absence,
and forgot
that authority can breathe
without raising its voice.
Pre-Chorus (half-sung, low register)
Because strength
is not a clenched hand.
It is measure.
Not domination —
but service.
Not the weight of command,
but the gravity
of example.
Chorus (art-rock, restrained lift)
The good shepherd
does not rule —
he gathers.
Does not shout —
he carries.
Strong not by force,
but by restraint.
Enduring not in the image of the world,
but in the image of Christ.
Verse II (spoken over evolving harmony)
There is no moral panic here.
No hunger for spectacle.
Only distinction —
between sin and the sinner,
between weakness and corruption,
between responsibility
and repression.
An older ethic speaks here.
Orthodox.
Precise.
Uncomfortable
for an age addicted
to outrage.
Bridge (progressive, philosophical)
From the distance of years
another truth emerges:
the questions were never solved —
they deepened.
Not because truth vanished,
but because patience did.
For silence.
For nuance.
For measure.
Chorus (reduced, inward)
The good shepherd
is a center
that does not demand
to be one.
Harder to be a bridge
than a wall.
Harder to carry
than to command.
Outro (spoken, dissolving)
This is not a relic.
It is a question.
What kind of Church do we want —
powerful in the image of the world,
or resilient
in the image of Christ?
Sometimes the oldest voices
say most clearly
what the present
is afraid
to hear.
(instrumental fade — leave air, leave space)
