Rayna – Follow the Stars | Late Night Urban Jazz Lounge Duet
There are children who arrive quietly – and still light up whole worlds.
This song is for one of them.
“Rayna – Follow the Stars” is an intimate late night urban jazz lounge duet – a conversation between a loving voice that has watched Rayna grow, and Rayna herself, speaking in the first person. Two voices, one story about freedom, travel, Sagittarius fire and the gentle courage to stay true to your own sky.
In the verses, he walks beside her through a sleeping city:
“Rayna walks slow where the late lights glow, / suitcase of dreams by the barstool’s side…”
She answers from the inside, with maps drawn on her eyelids and a passport stamped with unfinished songs. The bridge ignites that Sagittarius spark – wildfire over the city, borders turned into gates, refusal to bow to fear or fate – before the final chorus opens into a shared night sky where two soft flames move like a slow song the darkness won’t let go.
Musically, the track lives in the late hours: warm Rhodes piano, upright bass, soft brushed drums, subtle guitar and gentle saxophone lines, breathing around the voices rather than crowding them. It is a smooth, neo‑soul‑tinted jazz lounge atmosphere, meant more for listening with closed eyes than for noise and spectacle.
This is a love letter to a 20‑year‑old Sagittarius soul – curious, brave, endlessly traveling – and to all daughters who follow the stars instead of the closer lights.
If the song finds you in one of those nights when the world feels too loud and too shallow, may “Rayna – Follow the Stars” remind you that there is still room for tenderness, depth and quiet, radiant strength.
Rayna – Follow the Stars by Lalu Metev
Verse 1
Rayna… that’s the name you wear like light,
Soft but unafraid in the sleepless night.
You came with the dawn of a restless age,
While the world turned faster, you turned the page.
You watched the skyline changing,
But your heartbeat stayed the same.
Calm in the noise and the fire,
You learned to dance with the flame.
Pre-Chorus
You were never in a hurry,
But you never stayed behind.
Every new horizon
Opened wider in your mind.
Chorus
Rayna, follow the stars, not the nearer lights,
Take the long road home through the velvet nights.
You’re a flame in the wind, but you never fade,
You’re the song in the dark that the moonlight made.
Rayna, follow the stars, let your spirit lead,
You were born to be free, you were born to exceed.
Verse 2
Little traveler with a suitcase heart,
You loved every border as a place to start.
Maps on your wall, stories in your eyes,
You drew your future across foreign skies.
Quick with a smile and a clever line,
You turned shy corners into places that shine.
Old souls whispered, recognizing you,
In your courage, in the way you grew.
Pre-Chorus 2
You had friends like true reflections,
Love that held you when you fell.
Every joy and imperfection
Wove the tale you now can tell.
Bridge
Sagittarius daughter, bow to the sky,
Arrow of freedom, learning to fly.
Truth on your tongue, fire in your veins,
Running through borders, slipping the chains.
From noble stories in your family line,
You took the grace and made it shine.
Brave and sincere since you were small,
You never learned how to hide at all.
Breakdown (spoken / half-sung, intimate)
Rayna…
You are one star in a crowded night,
But you burn your own shade of light.
You are one woman, with a gentle fate,
Arriving on time, never too late.
Final Chorus (softer, more spacious)
Rayna, follow the stars, not the nearer lights,
Let your quiet strength sail the longest nights.
You’re a flame in the wind, and you still burn true,
May the road rise softly, making room for you.
Outro (ad lib / vamp)
Stay free, stay kind, stay curious and wild…
Rayna, golden-hearted, ever-wandering child.
We believe in you, every step you take…
Rayna, shine on, for all our sakes.

I begin in the threshold where a word is not yet born and silence still remembers its breath. I write to shape what insists on being carried forward — not as ornament, but as revealed truth. My practice moves like inner weather: shifts of memory, tenderness, and the questions that refuse to leave us. Genres are rooms of one house — poems, essays, fragments, genealogies, musical sketches — each a voice in a single resonant chord. Even silence has its essential place in that chord. I attend to the small gestures that disclose identity; to the secret bridges between private life and collective memory; to the quiet architecture of the spirit that needs no ceremony. My aim is language that opens rather than decorates — windows through which readers encounter their own inner sky. Form, conscience and intimacy guide me: introspection keeps me honest; conceptual shape grants the invisible weight; moral sensibility anchors each phrase. My professions — poet, publicist, jurist — lean together: law sharpens clarity, poetry humbles certainty, philosophy teaches listening to what is unsaid. If a single thread unites my work, it is this: to transmute vulnerability into luminous strength and to make silence a place of meaning. I am Lalu Metev — Bulgarian poet, essayist and jurist. I write to preserve what is delicate and essential in the human spirit, to follow traces of memory and dignity, and to find where the personal meets the universal. This is the path I walk; this is the voice I follow; this is the presence I offer.
