🎵 Някои песни се раждат от победите. Други – от онова, което остава след тях. After the Fire принадлежи към вторите.

Музикално After the Fire съчетава интимността на съвременния neo-soul с кинематографичния размах на art rock.

To Carry My Own Flame – решимост да съхраниш вътрешния си огън, After the Fire е песента за онова, което остава, когато изпитанията вече са преминали.

"Every scar became another window. Every loss another way to see the light."

If this song speaks to you, consider sharing it with someone who needs a reminder that even after the fire, life can still begin again. Intimate cinematic neo-soul with subtle art-rock influences, warm expressive male baritone, 74–76 BPM, felt piano, vintage Rhodes, soulful electric guitar swells, expressive cello, chamber strings, warm fretless bass, brushed acoustic drums, organic percussion, soft Hammond organ, distant choir textures, analog tape warmth, spacious natural reverb, understated orchestral lift, emotionally cinematic, reflective, deeply human, poetic storytelling, no bravado, mature resilience, quiet dignity, hope forged through hardship, premium live studio performance, timeless end-credits atmosphere.

🎵 After the Fire – Lalu Metev

[Verse I]

I have walked through rooms

that no one wanted.

Carried names

that never became mine.

Learned the weight

of borrowed expectations,

until silence

finally spoke my own.

[Verse II]

No mountain ever asked

who I had been.

No river ever cared

how many times I failed.

The earth remembers

only those

who keep walking

after everyone else stops.

[Pre-Chorus]

Perhaps

grace never arrives

like thunder.

Perhaps

it comes

one faithful morning

at a time.

[Chorus]

I am not

what broke beneath me.

I am not

the years I couldn"t keep.

Every scar

became another window.

Every loss

another way

to see the light.

[Verse III]

The strongest hands

are rarely closed.

They build.

They carry.

They forgive.

The deepest roots

never argue with the wind.

They simply remain.

[Verse IV]

If tomorrow

finds me empty,

let it also

find me true.

Because nothing

outlives wealth

like a heart

that never learned

to betray itself.

[Bridge]

There were winters

that lasted longer

than hope.

Still—

somewhere beneath

the frozen ground,

the spring

was already breathing.

[Final Chorus]

I am not

what fear predicted.

I am not

what darkness named.

Love remembers

what history forgets.

And every dawn

still begins

with someone

choosing

to rise.

[Outro]

No monument

outlasts

a faithful soul.

No victory

outlives

a generous heart.

So let the morning come.

I"ll meet it

standing.

1. meteff - Artist Statement — Lyrical Version
19.07 22:16
I begin in the threshold where a word is not yet born and silence still remembers its breath. I write to shape what insists on being carried forward — not as ornament, but as revealed truth. My practice moves like inner weather: shifts of memory, tenderness, and the questions that refuse to leave us. Genres are rooms of one house — poems, essays, fragments, genealogies, musical sketches — each a voice in a single resonant chord. Even silence has its essential place in that chord. I attend to the small gestures that disclose identity; to the secret bridges between private life and collective memory; to the quiet architecture of the spirit that needs no ceremony. My aim is language that opens rather than decorates — windows through which readers encounter their own inner sky. Form, conscience and intimacy guide me: introspection keeps me honest; conceptual shape grants the invisible weight; moral sensibility anchors each phrase. My professions — poet, publicist, jurist — lean together: law sharpens clarity, poetry humbles certainty, philosophy teaches listening to what is unsaid. If a single thread unites my work, it is this: to transmute vulnerability into luminous strength and to make silence a place of meaning. I am Lalu Metev — Bulgarian poet, essayist and jurist. I write to preserve what is delicate and essential in the human spirit, to follow traces of memory and dignity, and to find where the personal meets the universal. This is the path I walk; this is the voice I follow; this is the presence I offer.
